Whenever possible we spend most of our days in the natural environment, be it the ocean, the sand dunes or the mountains of the beautiful Cape Peninsula. Therefore we recognise the importance of preserving this natural environment, constantly caring and learning. We are also aware of the people less fortunate than us who are not able to participate in the activities that give us so much joy, due to various disabilities.

Consequently, the Revel Foundation was formed in order to support a variety of projects and organisations within the areas we visit in order to ultimately uplift the local communities.

The Orion Organisation
Founded in March 1982, the Orion Organisation is a duly constituted Non Profit Organisation and section 21 company with PBO status. Orion is based in the town of Atlantis, approximately 50km from Cape Town, where we do our ever-popular half day sandboarding trips.

Dedicated to caring and providing for the educational, training and therapeutic needs of children, youth and adults with physical, intellectual and/or mental disabilities, Orion proves a model of promise and hope to many. Orion’s ultimate aim is to provide a dynamic, emotionally secure and containing community around children and adults in need of special care.

You can witness the operation at Orion first hand when you join one of our half day sandboarding trips to Atlantis, where we encourage you to bring along a can of tin food or any other foodstuffs that we then leave behind for the people at Orion. This is also applicable to the combo activities that visit the area, where, depending on time constraints, we will also visit the organisation.
